Privacy Policy — DASTOORR

DASTOORR ("we", "our", "us") is a non-profit organisation registered in Pakistan. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using our website or becoming a member, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Registration data: full name, CNIC number, mobile number, email address, city, and address when you apply for membership.
Usage data: pages visited, device type, browser, and approximate location (country/city) collected automatically via server logs and analytics.
Communications: messages sent through our contact form or email.
Payment data: instalment or fee records processed through our authorised payment channels. We do not store full card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your DASTOORR membership account.
To communicate about programs, benefits, and important updates.
To process payments and maintain instalment records.
To improve our website and services using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
To comply with applicable laws of Pakistan.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only with: (a) trusted service providers (hosting, payment processing) bound by confidentiality, (b) government or regulatory authorities when required by law, or (c) partner organisations that deliver a specific DASTOORR program benefit to you, with your prior knowledge.

5. Data Retention

We keep your membership data for as long as you are an active member and for a period of five (5) years after account closure, to meet legal and financial record-keeping requirements. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form only.

Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Deletion: request erasure where we have no legal obligation to retain the data.
Objection: object to certain processing activities.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures (HTTPS, encrypted storage, access controls) to protect your data. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

8. Children

DASTOORR membership is open to Pakistani citizens aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our programs grow. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
